How-to Sync Your Clipboard between PC and Android
Recently, we have started taking a look at the clipboard features that Windows comes with, especially the ones that were introduced in recent years, and how they can supercharge your workflow. From its beginnings as the famous copy/paste or (CTRL+C/CTRL +V), then copy/paste features have come a long way.
The copy/paste feature is the one feature that almost everyone uses regularly because of its incredible utility and efficiency in making any task quicker. Using computers, we all hate performing repetitive tasks – after all, that’s what computers are for.
We just covered guides on how you can view your clipboard history as well sync it across other Windows PCs. In this guide, we are going to cover the process of syncing your clipboard history with your Android devices.
Sync Clipboard between Windows and Android
Note: On both your devices, you need to be logged in to the same Microsoft account.
On your Windows PC
- Open the Windows Settings app.
- Click on System.
- Click on Clipboard.
- For Windows 10 users, find the settings for Sync across devices and turn the switch to On.
- For Windows 11 users, find the settings for Sync across devices and turn the switch to On and then select Automatically sync text that I copy.
On your Android Device
For your Android device, you will need to download Microsoft’s keyboard app, called SwiftKey, which is an intelligent, personalized keyboard with some cool features allowing you to type by swiping, adding rich content, and more.
Here’s how you can turn on clipboard sync,
- Open SwiftKey.
- Click on Rich Input and then select clipboard.
- Here, you can switch on the option for Sync clipboard history.
