Can I modify the HTML/Php files to suit my own needs? |
| You can easily modify the
HTML files. Most Php files can't be edited. The Php files are totally
separated from the HTML though so editing is a breeze. All areas of
the Php files that show your domain, response messages, etc, can be
edited. |

| Updates will be done when
they are done. If you have a suggestion please email info@exefiles.com
and perhaps it will make the next update. |

| I actually looked around
for quite sometime and never found a software repository script that
I liked so I created my own. Now I'm sharing it with you. It's the
same script I use on this site. |

Why are some files encrypted while others aren't? |
| When you buy a script from
me, I want you to be able to customize the script to match your design,
color scheme, and overall taste. Realizing that, I separated the HTML
files and the Php files. All HTML files are totally customizable.
Certain parts of the Php files are also able to be customized enabling
you to have RSS feeds that match your domain, and email responses
that match your domain. When you buy the full licensed domain version
of the script, there's no trace of ExeFiles.com to your end user. |

I don't want a "cookie cutter" script, can I totally modify
the look of the site? |
| Absolutely. That's the whole
idea of why the HTML and PHP and separate, it enables the user to
totally customize the look of his/her site. Let's say that you want
to place the Featured Listings somewhere on your index page simply
type the code [b1.softwaretitle] and you'll get the Featured Listings.
It's easy and at anytime assistance is available. |

How do I edit the email message developers receive when they submit
a title? |
| Simply edit the text in the
file submit-software-in.php, you'll start on line #47. |

Since the script is encoded will it work on my server? |
| We use industry standard
encryption software (Source Guardian), many developers use either
Zend, Source Guardian, or ionCube. Many webhosts support all three
encryption methods. If you're using a host that supports Cpanel /
Fantastico, then they can support our script. Fantastico is encrypted
with Source Guardian, while Cpanel uses ionCube. |

This file contains the automatic response to a vendor once they
submit their software title. It appears that some of you aren't
modifying it. Why should you modify it? So the responses come
from your domain and not the ExeFiles.com domain. Don't lose
out on this possible repeat traffic. |

The database and control panel are now posted. Those with
the licensed domain version of the software please update and
begin using the database. This will allow you to add affiliate
links, and give you more control over the database. All usernames
and passwords will be deleted sometime around Nov. 1st, 2005.

The admin control panel is completed. I'll release the admin
control panel on Monday, October 17th, 2005. I'll also release
the database. Those that have the licensed domain version will
have to install the database or use their own database. This
will give you more control over the database, adding affiliate
links, etc. As always I'll be here to assist you in the changes.

I've been working hard on completing the admin control panel.
It's looking nice. Some of the features will be: approve/edit
software titles before going live, post a review of a software
title, add certain software titles to the featured section,
etc... I'll post here when it's completed. |

Once I complete the admin control panel, I plan on releasing
the database to those that buy the full licensed domain version.
Updates to the database will be posted here as well as any future
updates. If you haven't purchased yet, please note that the
price may increase to $199, this will allow you to have the
script and the most current database. Annual license fees will
still only be $39. Those that have or buy the full licensed
domain version now will get the database and control panel for
free. |

I had to take a short trip to the Gulf Coast to meet with
my insurance adjuster. I am back now and it's business as usual,
all orders have now been processed. Support is also back to
normal. To those that patiently waited for my return I appreciate
